Mando For Kids - Regina

Mando for Kids is a school-based program for mandolin instruction. The starting age is generally 8 years old, but depends more on whether the child is ready for music lessons.

The goal of the program is to introduce children to the world of Classical Mandolin playing, using a tiered approach through games, songs, experimentation and skill development.

Weekly lessons are presented in a group setting. We plan to offer them at two locations this fall:  on Tuesdays at the Regina Christian School as a 3:30 p.m. after-school class, and the same day through the Lakeview Community Association, likely as a 5:30 p.m. class.

Kids learn how to read music, the elements of sound, and pick techniques in an action, story- oriented method that is fun and engaging.

Fees are $125 per child per semester and there are two semesters per year. Instruments are provided for the beginner level lessons. Small class size.
